USA Rest Stops was designed to be an easy-to-use rest stop locator on the US Interstate system.

If viewing on a mobile phone, this web app has the ability to access the GPS on the phone, determine your current location, and show you the rest stops within 50 miles of your location. As your GPS location changes, so will the available rest stops. Those that come within range will be displayed and those out of range will be removed.

If your mobile phone does not have GPS, fear not! You can click the "Menu" button in the upper left to see a menu allowing you to view rest stops by state or by highway. Select the state you are traveling in and then the highway you are traveling on. This will show you a listing of all rest stops, welcome centers, or service plazas on your highway. Each item will have a mile marker and direction associated with it. You can filter NB/SB or EB/WB by pressing the button in the upper right. Selecting one of the rest stops will show you details about the location such as facilities available, hours, etc.

You can also view this site in a standard web browser! The browser has access to both the map and the list views. When viewing the map, simply zoom in to the area you would be traveling. When you reach the appropriate zoom level, the map will be populated with all of the available rest areas, welcome centers, and service plazas. Clicking on any of the items will show you details about the location such as facilities available, mile marker, etc.
